Truths, absolute truths, my head is full of them.
Learn this, accept that, don’t think. Repeat.

Don’t ask questions, they’re only bothersome.
Don’t wonder, don’t dream, it won’t come true anyway.

We don’t want you to think. To explore, to discover.
Only to reproduce without questions. Obey.

And if you are one of those fools that think otherwise,
that make up their own mind. Do their own thing. Are individual.
Then we will crush you. Destroy you. Brainwash you. Until you are one with the hive.

Yes, foolish minion. Believe your are free! Believe it!
Only we know, that all you are is a machine,
which obeys, listens and repeats. Mindlessly.

How do you prevent your prisoners, slaves, from starting a riot?
Simple, make them believe they are free men!
All right, this might seem a little dark, but it's more true than you might think (only not explained in the form of an elaborate essay, but of a rather simple poem)
But I think you got what I meant with this, it's quite straightforward. And right now I don't feel like filling this entire artists comment with a long ramble about how horrible it all is, etc. bla bla bla. It's a waste of my energy.

Of course the "we" figures don't EXIST! As the people who THINK they are 'in charge' are part of 'the system' as well. They just don't realize it, no one who is 'in' it realizes it, in fact. Maybe I'm crazy or stubborn, but I really TRY not to break under it all. To stay myself and definitely NOT start believing the fake freedom we live in. (ONE thing I must say FOR our society and that is that here I CAN at least say all these things without getting arrested, which isn't everywhere, actually)

Anyway, I would like to ask you for your opinion on this! Which may be bad, or good, a mix of both, whatever you like. I really like to hear what you think of it, and constructive criticism is also appreciated. I'm still a wee lil' beginner poet, but I just HAVE to get all these jumbling thoughts and feelings out. Art in ANY form, so also poetry, has always been a means for me to do this. Of course I really love it if people like the things I make, or help me learn to make it better, but the main reason I started doing all these things as a kid was simply to keep myself sane in an insane world.

I just NEVER make poetry without a reason, when I do so

Your Obedient Servant,
G.W.

The school system turns the people into mindless welfare recipients, and the media keeps them that way. There is no education. There is no information. Just brainwashing.
